Learn more about Victoria and the sweet tooth habit she kicked with a little help from her husband below! And how chic does she look in her photo?! No wonder she went from assistant to senior fashion editor in less than two years!

New York or Los Angeles, and why?

Def NYC! I have been living here for 17 years, and I am constantly discovering new things about the city that excite me. NYC is so chic, multicultural and innovative. I also love that I don’t have to drive anywhere. I just take the subway or hail a cab!

Give us a sense of your personal style?

My style is lady-like meets Fort Greene, Brooklyn. I am very feminine—yes, I love ruffles, bows, and flow-y pretty pieces—but I like to add a fun color, some leather, unique jewelry, or a cool shoe to give a little edge and balance out the girly look.

You’re best known for being a fashion expert, but what do you consider your greatest talent?

Hands down: organization. I like things organized and well placed. Obviously, I belong at Real Simple!

What’s your daily habit?

It used to be NesQuick until my husband staged an intervention. That’s been replaced with something sweet at 4 pm.

What’s one thing in your closet you could never give up? And what’s your go-to piece in the closet right now?

I could never give up my boldly printed 70′s Leonard vintage dresses that I got from my great aunt. They’re perfect to throw on when I don’t know what to wear but need to look great. Plus, they are always flattering—I consider them to be my version of a L.B.D. But my go-to item right now is my pair of Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee flat boots. They are comfortable to walk around NYC and also have that edge I like to add to my feminine look.

BONUS: What’s your best tip for styling this winter?

It has to be to invest in a statement coat. I own a few and regardless of what I wear underneath—leggings, skinny jeans, a dress—an amazing coat always makes me look instantly pulled-together.
