Habitual Fall 2013 Inspiration: Minimalist Gothic

From the stripped-down blues of the Black Keys and Gary Clark Jr. to a more abstract desire to give the Southern Gothic era a modern twist, inspiration for our Fall 2013 collection takes form in the sensuous colors of the past in sharp, clean cuts.

The way the dark, moody tone is at once gorgeously familiar comes through in the Habitual Fall 2013 line, but in particular in the Eve hi-rise skinny shown here in a rich russet. Called “Earthen Crinkle”  and coated, they have an almost textured leather feel and can be purchased online from Amazon.
New Orleans architecture and culture tie in with its mysterious history and a slower pace of life. The shades of grey (not quite 50!) of the Elles in Woodland Coated evoke this vintage photo of a lone streetcar. Get a pair from Neiman Marcus.
